The men’s and women’s Nor-Am circuit moved to Panorama Resort today with a Men’s Super-G, Ladies Super-G and Ladies Alpine Combined scheduled to take place on the first day. Conditions proved to be difficult with a fog layer moving in and out of the valley throughout the day. The Ladies were able to get off their Super-G run but after holding for an extended period of time the men’s Super-G was delayed a day. The Ladies were able to finish their Alpine Combined with the slalom run taking place after the men’s race was called.
The Ladies Super-G saw Nor-Am leader and Canadian Ski Team Athlete Roni Remme taking home her third win in as many races. Netherlands Adriana Jelinkova took home silver with Canada’s Stef Fleckenstein taking bronze. The Ladies standings remained constant after the slalom run with the top 6 placing in the same order.
Alberta’s Steph Profitt and Claire Timmermann finished back to back in the Super-g placing 13th and 14th respectively. In the Slalom portion Steph Profitt was the 6th fastest girl improving her overall ranking to 9th for the Alpine Combined.
